If you’re looking to dominate your opponents with a powerful Machina Gadgets deck, then the Edison Format Deck Guide is a must-have!

These automated assistants effortlessly outperform rivals in the Edison Format – we’re talking about the supremacy of Machina Gadgets! The Machina Gadget deck in the Edison Format employs an Earth Machine midrange approach, featuring a diverse array of Machines that consistently replenish your hand with additional Machines. Through these abilities, you’ll maintain a continuous stream of monsters, gradually overwhelming your opponent.

Even before the introduction of Machina, Gadgets were a viable strategy, essentially forming a similar deck albeit with less power. Each of these diminutive automatons triggers its effect upon Normal or Special Summon, allowing you to fetch another Gadget from your deck. Their sequence follows their ATK values: Yellow Gadget with 1200 ATK searches for the 1300 ATK Red Gadget, which in turn finds the 1400 ATK Green Gadget. The cycle begins anew with Green Gadget searching for Yellow Gadget. Another mnemonic to recall this sequence is likening it to a traffic light: Green leads to Yellow, then to Red, and back to Green.

Yellow Gadget – SDMM-EN017 – Common – 1st Edition

Red Gadget – SDMM-EN016 – Common – 1st Edition

Green Gadget – YSYR-EN019 – Common – 1st Edition

Adding Machina to the equation provides a definitive method to conclude duels and transform the card advantage gained from Gadgets into more formidable monsters.

The standout among Machina monsters is the impressive Machina Fortress! With its 2500 ATK, it serves as a crucial asset for overpowering Monarchs. You have the option to discard Machines whose combined Levels amount to 8 or more in order to Special Summon Machina Fortress from either your hand or graveyard. Interestingly, the wording allows for the possibility of discarding Machina Fortress itself.

Machina Fortress – BP01-EN022 – Rare – 1st Edition

This Special Summon aligns perfectly with the Gadgets, given their consistent ability to replenish your hand with Machines. Should you draw redundant Gadgets or find yourself needing to part with one, you can readily utilize it to bring Fortress into play.

Furthermore, Machina Fortress’s effects synergize directly with the Gadget strategy. Although it doesn’t replace itself upon Summon like a Gadget, its dual effects provide additional one-for-one removal options against your opponent’s cards.

While Machina Fortress proves resilient in battle, if it ever meets its demise, you gain the ability to target and destroy any card your opponent controls. This versatile removal capability makes it one of the most adaptable assets in your deck. There may be instances where you deliberately crash Fortress into a larger monster solely to trigger its destruction effect.

Addition to the collection are the The 1800 ATK Machina Gearframe and 1800 ATK Machina Peacekeeper. Machina Gearframe functions akin to an esteemed member of the Gadget family, albeit with the added prowess to tackle challenges independently due to its higher ATK. Upon its Normal Summon, Gearframe allows you to retrieve any Machina monster, barring another Gearframe, from your deck to your hand. While Machina Fortress is typically the prime choice, we’ll also explore some other Machina options worth considering. On the other hand, Machina Peacekeeper stands as another Union monster, boasting the same protective Union effect as Gearframe to safeguard a Machine monster. When Peacekeeper is destroyed on the field, whether as a standalone monster or while equipped to another, you gain the ability to add any Union monster from your deck to your hand. While Gearframe excels in an offensive capacity with its 1800 ATK and ability to fetch Fortress, Peacekeeper primarily serves to defend a monster initially and later facilitate the retrieval of a Gearframe. If your field is already established, Gearframe can opt to search for Peacekeeper instead of Fortress, further fortifying your field.

Machina Gearframe – SR10-EN005 – Common – 1st Edition

Machina Peacekeeper – SR10-EN006 – Common – 1st Edition

There’s no definitive wrong choice when selecting these cards, as each of them offers distinct advantages and drawbacks.

Happy gaming!
