IMPORTANT: Change to ACCESSIBE INTEGRATION

*** If you use accessiBe on your CrystalCommerce store, you will need to take action soon after we deploy an upcoming change. We will notify you again when the change is scheduled. ***

WHAT’S CHANGING?

Currently, the accessiBe script is enabled on all CC sites, by default. If you sign up for accessiBe, for your CC site, the service then begins working automatically. This will change soon, as noted below.

After an upcoming deploy, the accessiBe script will be DISABLED BY DEFAULT for all CC sites, and will need to be manually enabled once, if you are using accessiBe. This will be a matter of simply going to the upcoming accessiBe preference page in your admin and checking a box there.

WHY IS THIS CHANGE HAPPENING?

We have noticed occasional conflicts between accessiBe and other third party scripts, particularly other accessibility services. By disabling accessiBe for all sites, we can avoid those conflicts.

I USE ACCESSIBE NOW. CAN’T YOU JUST AUTOMATICALLY TURN IT ON FOR ME AFTER THE CHANGE HAPPENS?

Unfortunately, because the script is globally enabled and there is not currently an associated preference or way to track who’s using it or not, we cannot automatically enable the setting after this upcoming change. If you’re using accessiBe, you’ll need to re enable it for your site.

WHEN IS THIS CHANGE HAPPENING?

Please be on the lookout for our upcoming announcement of when the change is scheduled to be deployed, after which point you’ll need to enable the feature if you are using accessiBe.
