We are happy to announce that we are launching our new and improved market price server. We are going to be stopping the old market price server today so that this new server can provide you with better market pricing data.
What has changed?
We will now exclude pricing data from non-USD currency stores.
Why the change?
By eliminating prices that are in other currencies, we’ll have fewer prices that could potentially skew the data.For example, a store in Mexico on our platform may have a $10 card set to 190 because they are pricing in Mexican Pesos. Removing this price from the market pricing data will improve accuracy.
Future planned updates:
Market Pricing data shown for each sales channel.
As a precaution, we won’t be deleting the old servers outright until we can confirm that the new one is doing its job properly.
This is the first phase of our Market Pricing rework, and we will continue tweaking and tuning our algorithm. Look for some exciting updates soon!
