How to create promotions on your website
Quick Overview
- Tag the products you want to promote
- Upload and Tag the banner you want to use for your promotion
- Do an Advanced Search for the tagged products
- Copy the search results URL and paste it into the banner’s “Link” field
- Save the the banner
Your promotion is now live and ready to make sales!
Detailed Instructions
Step 1: Tag products
- Tag all of the products that you want to feature in your promotion (Tagging Help Article)
- Be sure to take note of the name of the tag that you use, because you’ll need it later
Step 2: Upload and tag banners
- Upload the banner you want to use for the promotion, and tag it so it appears in your home page main banner area, such as a top slider banner. (Banner Manager Help Article)

Step 3: Do an advanced search
- Go to the Advanced Search page. Example: https://yoursiteurl.com/advanced_search
- Find the “Tagged With” field and type the tag name that you used on your promotion products
- Click the “Search” button
- On the search results page, copy the URL out of your browser
Step 4: Link the banner to the search results
- Go back to the banner that you uploaded
- Open the “Descriptors” section
- Find the “Link” field and paste in the URL from the advanced search that you did for the tag
- Save the banner
